Dr. Jami Quick
Dr. Jami Quick, DVM, has owned Tender Care Animal Hospital with her husband, Ken, since November 2003. She has a special interest in cardiology and internal medicine, and founded the Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter in Prairie du Chien.
Dr. Rachel Gortowski
Dr. Rachel Gortowski, DVM, is a relief veterinarian at Tender Care Animal Hospital and sees our bird and reptile patients.

The people behind every visit
Our team is led by owner Dr. Jami Quick, a UW-Madison veterinary graduate who has cared for pets in Prairie du Chien since 2003 and founded the Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter. Relief veterinarian Dr. Rachel Gortowski sees our bird and reptile patients. Together with a team of 12 (and our two clinic cats), they share the values our hospital is built on: education, communication, professionalism, dedication and teamwork. Our doctors are members of the Wisconsin and American Veterinary Medical Associations.
